Terms of Entry and Regulations

 
All participants entering for the event  and all volunteers must read Terms of Entry and Regulations carefully before entering an event organized by CRAZY5K SE. (hereinafter Organizers).
 

I. Declaration on Entry

I hereby declare that (Undersigned name: ______________________________________________________________), (address:______,______________________________________________________________________________________), (mother’s maiden name: _____________________________________), location: ____________________________ I have entered for the event CRAZY5K on the basis on my own voluntary decision. I declare that I shall fully obey the instructions given by the organizers of the event, which control the regulations of the event. I declare that I know the terms of entry and the rules and regulations, which I consent to be bound by. I declare that my injuries arising from my not obeying the regulations shall constitute a consent pursuant to point (a) of §. 6:520 of the Hungarian Civil Code. I consciously and voluntarily undertake that I shall comply with any usual conditions relating to the event. If I perceive any unusual and/or significant danger during the event I shall turn back and notify the organizers of such a danger without delay. I shall hold myself accountable for violating this. I declare that I am familiar with the risk of the event and I am participating in it aware of that at my on risk. I am participating at the event aware of the following potential, but not fully defined (any accident or injury can happen beside those listed) risks of accident: ankle injury, strain, bruise, elbow injury, fracture, contusion, shortness of breath, heat-induced illnesses, overload syndrome, near suffocating, suffocating, heart attack, permanent paralysis, even death. Based on the above I declare that I shall not claim any compensation or reimbursement or any other demand on any legal basis from the organizers of CRAZY5K in the case of my potential injury, or any other – even one not mentioned above – adverse health effects relating to me or in the case of damage to my clothing or any other potential valuables. I declare that in the event of any injury, accident, permanent and temporary health effects even death I shall waive my rights, exempt the organizers from responsibility on my and my next-of-kin’s behalf, as I entered the event after acknowledging the risks, with this I agreed that I might be at risk of injury, I might be injured myself. I declare that I am health-wise capable of participating in the event. I declare that I shall avail myself to the first aid installed by the organizers if I suffer an injury. After I have been given the chance to fully learn about the risks, the rules of the event, I undertake and accept in my own name, with full responsibility, freely and with my consent every risk previously known or unknown even if they arise from the others’ negligence, actions or failure. Pursuant to Act CXXX of 2016 (CCP.) in the case of a legal dispute the District Court of Debrecen is competent for legal remedy (address: Arany János u. 25-31., H-4024 Debrecen).
 
For participants under the age of 18:

II. Regulations

 
 
1. By entering the event all participants accept the contents of the announcement of the event and the rules of the event. With this they acknowledge that they enter the event at their own risk, the participant declares that his or her health condition is fit for the precondition of participation in the event and accept that   no compensations for any participant’s adverse health effects (see Terms of Entry) or damages arising in connection with the event shall be claimed from the organizers of the event.
2. I understand that the event might pose a risk to my health so I enter the event only if I feel fully prepared health-wise and physically. I understand and accept all risks that are associated with participation in the event.
3. I have my health regularly checked and I am not aware of a disease that would hinder my participation. I permit that I shall be examined by a sports physician if necessary and I shall accept the instructions of the sports physician.
4. If I am overweight or out of the risk posed at my age I shall complete the run at a pace appropriate to my physical condition.
5. I declare that if I suffer an adverse health effect during the event as a result of  previous injuries or previous adverse health effects, no responsibility or claim for damages shall be devolved on to the organizers by me or my legal representative. 
6. I shall not bring a civil action or a prosecution against the organizers of the event in the case of any damage done to me.
7. The images and videos recorded during the event are the properties of CRAZY5K SE and Dorlia Group Kft., which the company is entitled to use for any promotional and other communication purposes and the individuals in the photographs are not entitled to any remuneration.
8. The organizers take no responsibility in the case of lost bags, valuables deposited in the left-luggage tent. The organizers of the event do not undertake safekeeping!
9. I acknowledge that the participant who does not complete the run shall be excluded, and thus shall not be given a finishers’ medal and a shirt.
10. I acknowledge that I cannot participate in the event in the absence of the printed and signed entry form. The participant shall not be entitled for any compensation in such a case.
11. I declare with full responsibility that I shall not enter a child younger than 8 years of age in the event.
12. I declare with full responsibility that I have reached the body height of 130 cm.
13. I accept that if I have not turned the age of 15 I shall run exclusively under an adult’s supervision. One adult may supervise altogether three runners under the age of 15 years.
14. I accept that if I have not turned the age of 18 one of my parents or my legal representative shall also sign my entry form thus taking all the possible consequences.
15. I accept that it is my responsibility to notify the organizers of the event about any unlawful activity that has come to my knowledge during the event.
16. I accept that I am not under the influence of any alcohol or drug. The organizers have the right to have a participant examined by a physician and to exclude him or her from the event if his or her health condition is not found appropriate.
17. The bib number should be worn at the front in a clearly visible place. It is forbidden to fold the bib number, safety pins to fix the bib numbers are to be found in the start packet and at the event center. 
18. The bib number should not be removed until the participant leaves the assigned track.
19. A participant who folds, covers, takes off, does not fix the bib number on his or her chest during the event, or does not complete the full distance of the event – set by the organizers – shall be excluded from the event. 
20. A participant leaving his or her track, conducting an unsportsmanlike behavior towards his or her fellow competitors shall be excluded from the event.
21. Using a follower car, bicycle or other vehicles is permitted only for the organizers.
22. Supplying food and drink to the participants is permitted only at the assigned refreshment points.
23. Roller skating, cycling, running without a bib number or with a dog is prohibited, and leads to exclusion from the event.
24. On the premises of the sports event any commercial and promotional activity, or the promotion of other running events may be pursued only with the prior permission of the organizers, in an agreed form and way.
25. The organizers of the event reserve the right to limit the number of the participants, to close entry down at any time.
26. The organizers of the event reserve the right to modify the route, the program and the time of the event.
27. There is possibility to cancel an entry. Refund shall be returned from the paid entry fee. No refound the administration fee.  The entry may be modified only once until 5 days before the start of the event. The participant has two options to choose from: either hand the entry over to another participant or change wave-times. The modification cost a fee. A children’s ticket may be handed over only to a child. Participants under the age of 15 receive a children’s ticket with a 20% discount. Groups’ and children’s discounts cannot be contracted. The actual modification fees are always available at the page of the given event.
28. By filling in and signing the entry form and by entering online the participant accepts the terms of the announcement of the event and the regulations of the event.
29. In a case of force majeure we reserve the right to refuse to set up certain obstacles or to cancel the event. In such a case the participants shall acknowledge that they are not entitled to any reimbursement.
30. Force majeure is an event, external to any human force, irrespective of the will, actions and person of the Parties, which cannot be imputed to any Party, such as war, civil uprising, lock-in, curfew, epidemic, cessation of work, natural disaster (Due to the nature of the event, stormy winds, sustained gusts greater than 38 km / h), strikes.
31. No participant above the age of 18 may sign the entry form of another adult.
32. The participants must immediately notify the organizers or the volunteers if somebody is injured or if an obstacle is not safe or if he or she has any other concern.
33. The announced wave-times may be delayed for reasons out of the control of the organizers (weather conditions and unforeseen incidents posing a threat to the participants), thus the start shall be scheduled according to the clock placed at the starting gate by the organizers.
34. The participants may modify their entry only once. This modification can be a change of wave-time or they can hand their entry over to another person for a fee. The entry handed over may not be modified any more.
35. Each participant may run the course only once within the wave-time registered by him or her. 
36. The participants must, for their own safety, run with their hands free. No object may be carried. Phones may be carried only at the participants' own risk.
37. The participants must go along the route of the course, facing forward.
38. No food or drink or sharp objects may be taken onto the obstacles.
38. The participants must use the public toilets. There is no exception.
40. No participants in wheel chairs or with hand bikes may enter the event.
41. Pregnant and disabled participants must ask for their doctor's advice regarding participation in the event.
42. The participants must wait until the safety supervisor gives permission to use the obstacles. The participants must follow every instruction the organizers/volunteers/safety supervisors give.
43. Each participant must reach a body height of minimum 1.30 m, and may not exceed a body height of 2.00 m.
44. A participant may not exceed a maximum body weight of 120 kg.
45. It is forbidden to use an open flame, to smoke, to use any sharp or pointed objects, or firearms throughout the entire area of the event.
46. Filling in the entry form is considered voluntary disclosure. The participant consents that the organizers of the event shall store the date disclosed on entry in their database.
47. With entry for an event, by accepting the entry terms of the announcement of the event the person entering acknowledges that the organizers shall send information relating to the event to the e-mail address disclosed on entry.
 

A). The intended use of the obstacles:

Throughout the entire area of the event there are spots that require increased attention, where inappropriate use can cause personal injury or significant material damage. In order to prevent / avoid these, please, read carefully the List of Forbidden Objects and below instructions for use of the obstacles.
 
Restrictions on the clothing of participants:
• Comfortable running clothing and running shoes.
• The bib number should be placed at the front on the chest or on the abdomen at all times, because of sliding on the back.
 
Recommendations on the clothing of participants:
• Long-sleeved sweatshirt
• Long pants
 

Obstacle #1:

 
 Description of the obstacle:
• The obstacle is a single-part slide, with climbing up and then sliding down.
How to overcome the obstacle in an orderly way:
• Climb up side by side and/or one after the other due to the gradual structure. Reaching the top of the slide, sit down, then make sure that there is no one else in the sliding area and in the run-out ahead. Give yourself a push with the hands to gain an adequate momentum for the slide.
• How to slide in an orderly way: slide with your legs pulled up. Arms crossed on the chest.  Decelerating yourself during sliding should be avoided, because if you slow yourself with the feet or soles on arrival it may lead to even ankle and knee injuries, if you slow yourself with the hands, elbows, bruises or burns may happen.
• Starting sliding is orderly from a sitting position at all times!
• Slowly get off or crawl off at the end of the obstacle.
 
 

Obstacle #2:

 
 
Description of the obstacle:
• Terrain obstacles in three lanes, with a climbing wall and a slide at the end.
How to overcome the obstacle:
• Proceed along the terrain obstacles
• Climbing up in the three assigned climbing lanes one after the other. Reaching the top of the slide, sit down, then make sure that there is no one else in the sliding area and in the run-out ahead. Give yourself a push with the hands to gain an adequate momentum for the slide.
• How to slide in an orderly way: slide with your legs pulled up. Arms crossed on the chest.  Decelerating yourself during sliding should be avoided, because if you slow yourself with the feet or soles on arrival it may lead to even ankle and knee injuries, if you slow yourself with the hands, elbows, bruises or burns may happen.
• Starting sliding is orderly from a sitting position at all times!
• Slowly get off or crawl off at the end of the obstacle.
 

Obstacle #3 (Parts A+B+C comprise one unit):

 
 
Description of the obstacle:
• A slide consisting of three parts , all three climbs are followed by sliding down.
How to overcome the obstacle in an orderly way:
• Climb up side by side and/or one after the other due to the gradual structure. Reaching the top of the slide, sit down, then make sure that there is no one else in the sliding area and in the run-out ahead. Give yourself a push with the hands to gain an adequate momentum for the slide.
• How to slide in an orderly way: slide with your legs pulled up. Arms crossed on the chest.  Decelerating yourself during sliding should be avoided, because if you slow yourself with the feet or soles on arrival it may lead to even ankle and knee injuries, if you slow yourself with the hands, elbows, bruises or burns may happen.
• Starting sliding is orderly from a sitting position at all times!
• Slowly get off or crawl off at the end of the obstacle.
  

Obstacle #4:

 
 
Description of the obstacle:
• The holes are designed in the fashion of a rubber tyre.
How to overcome the obstacle in an orderly way:
• Proceed along by stepping into holes, one after the other.
  Special PROHIBITION for the obstacle:
• It is PROHIBITED to climb on top of the green tubes!
• It is PROHIBITED to run/walk along op top of the obstacle by avoiding the holes!
 

Obstacle #5:

 
 
Description of the obstacle:
• It consists of four running lanes, in which vertical columns challenge passing.
How to overcome the obstacle in an orderly way:
• Run along the four running lanes as fast as you can.
 Special PROHIBITION for the obstacle:
• It is PROHIBITED to climb over from one running lane to another!
• It is PROHIBITED to climb onto the top of the obstacle!
 

Obstacle #6:

 
 
Description of the obstacle:
• It consists of three 2-meter-high walls, they can be climbed with the help of handholds and supporting holes.
 
How to overcome the obstacle in an orderly way:
• The three walls can be climbed with the help of handholds and supporting holes. The wall has to be climbed downwards, too.
 
Special PROHIBITION for the obstacle:
• It is PROHIBITED to jump off the top of the climbing wall!
 

Obstacle #7:

 
Description of the obstacle:
• One large, wide, uneven terrain.
 
 How to overcome the obstacle in an orderly way:
• Proceed along running.
 
 Special PROHIBITION for the obstacle:
• Jumping in a way that is dangerous to your own and others’ physical integrity is PROHIBITED!
 

Obstacle #8:

  
Description of the obstacle:
• A slide following an undulating, uneven terrain.
 
How to overcome the obstacle in an orderly way:
• Proceed along the waves.
• Climb up along in the assigned climbing lanes one after the other. Reaching the top of the slide, sit down, then make sure that there is no one else in the sliding area and in the run-out ahead. Give yourself a push with the hands to gain an adequate momentum for the slide.
• How to slide in an orderly way: slide with your legs pulled up. Arms crossed on the chest.  Decelerating yourself during sliding should be avoided, because if you slow yourself with the feet or soles on arrival it may lead to even ankle and knee injuries, if you slow yourself with the hands, elbows, bruises or burns may happen.
• Starting sliding is orderly from a sitting position at all times!
• Slowly get off or crawl off at the end of the obstacle.
 
Special PROHIBITION for the obstacle:
• Jumping in a way that is dangerous to your own and others’ physical integrity is PROHIBITED!
 

Obstacle #9:

 
 
Description of the obstacle:
• Following four climbing lanes three hemispheres form the obstacles in each lane.
 
How to overcome the obstacle in an orderly way:
• Along the climbing lanes one after the other in a row. Then jump/step on top of the hemispheres then climb off the last hemisphere. At the end of the obstacle carefully climb or get off the platform.
 
Special PROHIBITION for the obstacle:
• It is PROHIBITED to jump off the last hemisphere!

 

Obstacle #10:

 
 
Description of the obstacle:
• The obstacle is made up of six parallel tubes.
 
How to overcome the obstacle in an orderly way:
• Crawl along the tunnels parallel one after the other.
 
Special PROHIBITION for the obstacle:
• It is PROHIBITED to overtake in the tunnels!
• It is PROHIBITED to climb on top of the tunnels!

• It is PROHIBITED to hinder another participant during climbing!
• It is PROHIBITED to push a fellow participant!
• It is PROHIBITED to jump off an obstacle at the end!
• It is PROHIBITED to start sliding by jumping!
• It is PROHIBITED to belly-slide!
• It is PROHIBITED to belly-side headlong!
• It is PROHIBITED to take forbidden object onto the obstacles!
• It is PROHIBITED to climb onto the side walls of the obstacles!
• It is PROHIBITED to use the obstacles during inflating and deflating!
• It is PROHIBITED to deliberately harm another participant’s physical integrity!
